Good evening girls tonight i have two cards for you both made using the Friday sketches fabulous sketch
the first card i have for you is made with one of the new special store stamp kits (blooming spring) from the whiff of joy which is only available through your local stockist so if your local retail dose not have these beautiful stamps yet make sure you mention them to them

The second card i have for you is my wild side lolxxxxx

Inkadinks Tutorial and Colour charts

Hi Girls to day i have some thing very different and exciting for you xxx
this is for all the fabulous blog friends that have e-mailed me and left comments about the fabulous Inkadinks that i use they are specially designed and made by the fabulously talented Sue at Imagination crafts
this is a BASIC tutorial with plenty of tips and hits and ways to mix them ,
there is no right or wronge way to use these fabulous products ,
just because they are called a water based inks please do not be afraid of these products
if you can use water and hold a paint blush then you can use the inkadinks xxxx
here below are the colour charts for the collections so you can see what they are
i have to add mit at 9.99 per kit you so need them all as the colour combos you can make are endless

Ok now this is the way i use them i use no fancy items as the inkadinks do all the magic them self's
you will need
1)a white dinner plate as this shows the colours off best plus then the inks don't run off like on a mat or tile
2)a water blush (but i don't put water in mine )
4)pot for water
5) and kitchen roll
when i make a card i choose my papers first then i mix my inkadinks so to get a perfect match with my papers (i am a match freak lolxxx)
but you don't have to do this you can just use them straight out of the bottle
below you will see the colours i am going to use and how i mix them to get different shades and colours

Now i know you will be looking at the inkadinks on the plate and thinking some of them wont match the paper i want to use lolxxx
but have faith girls a little mix together and the magic appears
in the next photo you can see the colours i have made and you have to add mit they match the paper beautifully
next to each shade i have written what i have used so this is easily achieved by adding more or less of one colour

And here's the proof on the plate ,
mixing them on the plate is so easy so you can see what your colour needs
plus the inks dry on the plate so there is no waste and if you mark the shades on the plate like i do you never for get what colours made the right shade for next time

now on to using the inkadinks ,
for all the girls that are scared they don't have a steady hand or going over the lines
the best tip i can give you is to stamp your image in black ink then heat emboss it in clear so this makes a raised edge to your image and makes it so your inks and water wont run or smudge
i use a water blush to apply my inkadinks but i do not put water in it as i can not control it enough but every ones different so have a play with it first

When i first paint the image i always apply my inks first where i think there would be shade on my image ,
so decide which way you want the light to catch it

next i add just water and blend in the colour from the lines so this gives a softer and lighter colour just keep blending until you are happy

Then go back to your original colour with a slightly damp brush (dabbed on kitchen roll) pick up the colour and go over the original areas where you first started so to add a deeper shade and the next layer of colour ;
now don't panic if you do pop to much on to the image just dip your brush in the water and apply over the ink then dab with kitchen roll this will take off any excess easily so then you can re apply (learnt this from experience lolxx) but remember less is more

so now you can see by keep adding and blending you can create the desired affect you want easily
i will be honest girls using some thing new always take time to learn so be patient and it will happen
i still get it wrong now some days lolxxx but you don't see it lolxxx

So here is the finished card xxx
i do hope this has helped some of you xxx
the sketch i have used for this card is mojo monday challenge ,Simon says challenge (which is to use punches) and spoonfull of sugar challenge is lots of layers layers
the beautiful flowers are from K and CO and the beautiful flowers are from wild orchid crafts
thanks for looking xxxx
